Love of Football / Islamic Rant

All the fans are dancing, cheering, having fun and they point out the fact "the police coulden't do anything." It was blocked for being anti-Islami, whatever that means. This solidifies my theory that there might, possibly, be nothing more ridiculous then the teachings of the Islamic Qur'an.

I would like to end this blog post with the following:

Allah made the stars as missiles to throw at devils. 67:5

A fire has been prepared for the disbelievers, whose fuel is men and stones. 2:24
-Disbelievers will be burned with fire. 2:39, 90

Allah's object also is to purge those that are true in Faith and to deprive of blessing Those that resist Faith. 3:141

And if ye are slain, or die, in the way of Allah, forgiveness and mercy from Allah are far better than all they could amass. 3:157

But those who disobey Allah and His Messenger and transgress His limits will be admitted to a Fire, to abide therein: And they shall have a humiliating punishment 4:14

....................

SOUNDS GOOD TO ME, GUYS

Karl,

It is interesting that you had such a strong response to the teachings of Islam. I kind of see it the way many see the Christian religion; that some practice peacefully and with tact, and some dont. There are actually more Muslims in the world than any other religion, but we never hear a word for them, because they practice their faith in private and with a quiet respect. I suppose if you read some of the Christian doctrines, you will find similar "hell and brimstone" blood-spilling dictates for the people. Seems that you cannot seperate religion and violence, period. It might be fun for you to do some research on families or individuals who speak about and practice Islam with tact and consideration for others. Arent we in such an interesting time???

If anyone has read Sacred Journey of the Peaceful Warrior; Maybe the old man, Socrates, is Muslum? Statistically, he probably would be. Or maybe he was Catholic, I have no idea.

He was the most amazing character I have ever read about. He was always so in the moment and alive. I pictured an aura of energy around him from the first chapters. I really, really liked that character.

On second thought, he wasn't religious, at all.
